Water provides a neat background for flowers whether they are on the water or in it.

Farol > Wish I knew what kind of flower this is.
Farol > Camelias are blooming.  Dropping them in a pool makes for an interesting background.
Farol > A flower submerged in a water-filled wine glass casts an interesting shadow on a white background.  This photo has been white balanced - see the adjoining image.  I was amazed at the light penetration and reflection on the paper plate.  This image is a merger of three different exposures.
Farol > Crape-myrtle blossom in a candy dish filled with water tainted with blue food coloring.  In the sunlight, I took three exposures and merged them into this image.  Go large for the details.
Farol > White camellia in a water-filled glass dish in bright sunlight.
Farol > Water lilies in the bright sun work best for me as HDR images.  These lilies were in a display at the Botanical gardens in Richmond, VA.
Farol > Caught this water lily during a shower in Dallas, Texas.
Farol > Water lilies are so cool.  I saw this one at Disney World in Orlando, FL.  Had to take some shots.
