Farol > From a high point in the Palouse. Not a fence in sight!! Harvest time for the wheat fields. You can see Idaho and Oregon (looking SW) from this spot near Colfax, WA.
Farol > Along a blacktop in Palouse wheat country. Harvest time on the hills.
Farol > Something almost romantic about the Palouse rolling amber hills and the waving fields. About half the fields here are already cut.
Farol > Another view and shot of these falls. It was so cold!!
Farol > An overcast day in Seattle, but this reflection of the Space Needle caught my eye. Must go to the original sized view here.
Farol > You are on top of the world here. Idaho and Oregon are on the horizon from this hilltop in Eastern Washington State. Wheat fields are being harvested and stored in grain bins all over the Palouse.
Farol > Palouse Falls in the Freezing Winter. This is a hard hike to the bottom of this canyon, but well worth it on a hot summer day. The freezing mist of the falls here covered everything with a layer of transparent ice. Lots of water going over the falls for this time of year.
Farol > Also near Palouse Falls the railroad cuts through this thick hill of basalt. Not much room on either side when this train comes through. I put my camera next to the rail and took this shot. I liked the symmetry here.
